Outdoor/Patio Products Consumer Market Studies
We have conducted a consumer market measurement study of Outdoor Product purchases. We surveyed a nationally representative sample of 20,000 households in the National Family Opinion
panel of purchases of 7 Outdoor Products:
- Gas Barbeque Grills
- Patio Tables
- Patio Chairs
- Patio Umbrellas
- Outdoor Lighting Kits
- Spa/Hot Tubs
- Above Ground Pools
For each product category information is provided for the October 1999 - September 2000 season.
The following data is shown for each product type:
A. Estimated Consumer Purchases
- Projection of total U.S. consumer purchases based on data reported by the sample. The projection is made by multiplying the percentage of sample households purchasing by the total number of U.S. households.
B. Brand Shares
- All brands with a share of 1% or more are shown. Brands with less than 1% share are combined in "other".
C. Type of Outlet
- Department store
- Discount store
- Home center
- Hardware store
- Internet/on-line
- Patio/pool shop
- Warehouse club
- Grocery store
- Drug store
- Furniture store
- Other outlet
D. Price Paid
- The actual price is recorded. Appropriate categories are shown.
E. Use of Internet for Information
- Percent of purchasers who used the Internet to get information regarding the products is shown
F. Demographics
- Geographic region - Can be customized to your sales regions
- Annual household income
- Age of male household head
- Age of female household head
- Education of male household head
- Education of female household head
- Occupation of male household head
- Occupation of female household head
- City size
- Type of residence and ownership
- Demographic profile
- Internet access
Timing and Reports
The questionnaire was mailed October 2000. The reports are available immediately.
In addition to printed tabulations and charts of key data, subscribers can receive the date formatted on Excel worksheets so you can combine, analyze and graph data in your office.
Cost
The price of the first product category is $1,195, the price of the second product is $950, and the price of each additional product is $750.
